Super Lawyers and Texas Rising Stars
Each year, the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list is compiled through careful consideration and evaluation of attorneys on a state-by-state basis. The goal is to create a broad and diverse list of esteemed attorneys for the community to use as a resource when searching for legal counsel. The selection process includes an evaluation of each candidate on twelve indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement in legal practice. The four steps to the process are: nominations, independent research, peer evaluation, and final selection. An attorney can be nominated for the list by a peer, through third party feedback, or by the Super Lawyers research team. The second step in the selection process involves independent research and evaluation of factors, such as experience, honors/awards, pro bono and community service, and verdicts/settlements. After research, the top candidates serve on the Blue Ribbon Panel to evaluate other candidates within their primary practice areas. Finally, a representative number of small, medium, and large firm attorneys are selected. Only the top five percent of attorneys in Texas are recognized as Super Lawyers.
