About Gary Paul
Mr. Paul has quite the diverse portfolio with more than four decades as a trial lawyer covering complex civil matters such as consumer and medical product liability, medical and professional malpractice, commercial and insurance litigation, and employment and labor law.
Prior to his legal career, however, Mr. Paul earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in the same field from UCLA. This led to his work as a space and missile engineer for ten years.
After deciding to pursue a legal career, Mr. Paul earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and was admitted to the State Bar of California. He is now a well-respected legal author and speaker at numerous legal symposia and continuing legal education seminars.
Most recently he has received the AAJ Distinguished Service Award. In addition to his numerous roles and achievements within the AAJ, Mr. Paul has also served as president of the Consumer Attorneys of California (”CAOC”) and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (“CAALA”). He has been elected to the CAALA Hall of Fame, and his law school presented him with the Loyola Law School Champion of Justice Award. The Thomson Reuters Southern California Super Lawyers© list has recognized Mr. Paul for over 10 consecutive years. In response to him being recognized on the list, as well as two other firm attorneys, Peter Kraus, one of Waters Kraus Paul & Siegel’s founding partners stated, “I am very pleased for my colleagues. They continue to set the standard for the practice of law in California and across the country, and our peers recognize it.”
