MacLean also details the laborious process of verifying the conditional payment summaries. Under her guidance, a team of Waters & Kraus medical paralegals reviews the conditional summary payments to determine if there are any charges for unrelated or unauthorized treatments. Medicare is alerted to the disputed charges and a revised conditional payment summary is requested.
