About Peter Kraus
Prior to beginning his legal career, Peter Kraus earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Texas. He now focuses his practice on toxic torts, False Claims Act whistleblower cases, and pharmaceutical injury litigation.
Licensed to practice in Virginia, Texas, California, and Missouri, along with three U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals 4th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, Mr. Kraus is active in and outside of the courtroom. He serves on multiple asbestos bankruptcy creditor and trustee advisory committees and was appointed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to serve on the board of the Federal Judicial Center Foundation. Mr. Kraus also takes interest in the areas of education and medicine, as he is a former chairman of the Greenhill School and the St. Paul Medical Foundation as well as a current board member of the Southwestern Medical Foundation. He currently serves on the executive committee at Greenhill and the Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center.
Peter Kraus was a recipient of the Above and Beyond Award from the American Association of Justice in 2017 and has been recognized multiple times on “Texas’ Top Rated Lawyers” list produced by LexisNexis® Martindale-Hubbell® and published by ALM Media Properties as well as Texas Super Lawyers list, published by Thomson, Reuters. He has been selected for recognition on the Best Lawyers in Dallas list in D Magazine, published by D Magazine Partners seven previous times.
