Peer lawyers in Texas have again selected Waters Kraus Paul & Siegel trial lawyers Caitlyn Silhan, Patrick Wigle and Chris Johnson for inclusion in the prestigious Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
The three firm partners earned repeat selection based on their commitment to obtaining justice for individuals injured by dangerous and defective products, as well as their representation of individuals who expose fraud and over-charging on the government.
Johnson and Wigle are honored for their advocacy on behalf of individuals diagnosed with mesothelioma and other forms of cancer and serious illnesses. Their trial litigation expertise includes representing individuals injured by dangerous and defective products and toxic substances like asbestos, benzene, and cancer-causing pesticides like Monsanto’s Roundup weedkiller.
Silhan focuses her practice on Qui Tam whistleblower litigation in courts across the country. Together with the Waters Kraus Paul & Siegel team, Silhan has helped the government obtain record recoveries in cases brought by whistleblowers under the federal False Claims Act (FCA), including allegations involving Medicare and Medicaid fraud. The FCA allows private whistleblowers to bring suit to recover taxpayer funds in cases involving fraud on the government. By law, whistleblowers are awarded a percentage of the funding recovered.
