Biography

Charles Siegel is the head of the appellate and qui tam practices at Waters Kraus Paul & Siegel. He was born in Houston, Texas and earned both his undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees at the University of Texas. Charles has argued appeals in nine of the federal circuits, seven state supreme courts, and in numerous intermediate appellate courts around the country, and has appeared in state or federal trial courts in more than 30 states and in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. He has also advocated for his clients and other injury victims by testifying twice in the United States House of Representatives, and in the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica. He has also testified many times in the Texas Legislature and in other state legislatures. Charles has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Texas Law School, the University of Houston Law Center, Southern Methodist University Law School, the University of the West Indies College of Law, and the Faculty of Law at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. He is a frequent speaker at legal seminars around the country and abroad. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, Public Justice Foundation, the American Bar Association (ABA), the Dallas Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and The Anti-Fraud Coalition. Charles served on the ABA’s Task Force on Asbestos Bankruptcy Trusts and was recognized on the Thomson Reuters Texas Super Lawyers® list eleven times. He was a finalist for Public Justice’s Trial Lawyer of the Year.
