Waters Kraus Paul & Siegel Virtual Roundtable Q&A: Women in Law

Women’s History Month had its origins as a national celebration with a 1987 presidential proclamation. The law passed by Congress marked the month of March with observances to honor the achievements of American women in a variety of fields, including the law.

Every year, we celebrate Women’s History Month with a virtual roundtable of female attorneys at Waters Kraus Paul & Siegel discussing their experiences in the field of law. This year, attorney Chase Johnson joined past participants in sharing her insights. You can also read previous years’ interviews from attorneys Camille Hunt, Kay Gunderson Reeves, Elizabeth Post, Nicole Poursalimi, Kimberly Rosales, Susan Ulrich, and Waters Kraus Paul & Siegel partners Leslie MacLean and Caitlyn Silhan.

Celebrating Women in Law this Women’s History Month

Waters Kraus Paul & Siegel has always been committed to promoting equality and women’s advancement in the legal field. That is why in honor of this year’s Women’s History Month, we stand to proudly amplify the voices and reflections of a few of the many women at our firm through a “virtual” roundtable.

In this series of interviews, we asked our female attorneys various questions about the trials and tribulations of law school, what helped them succeed in their careers, and most importantly, the prevalent gender disparity in the legal profession.

The personal and professional experiences shared by these women are a testament to their accomplishments in our own firm, as well as their invaluable contributions to a world in need of sustained advocacy for civil rights and women’s rights. We are proud of the vital role our female attorneys have had in bettering our legal practice.
